Regular Season Round 13: Haneda Vickies - Chanson V-M 41-89

The game in Tokyo supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Chanson V-M (9-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Haneda Vickies (2-9). Chanson V-M smashed Haneda Vickies 89-41. It looked good early as Haneda Vickies took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Chanson V-M had a 24-10 second period charge getting the lead and Haneda Vickies were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 41-89. Chanson V-M dominated on the defensive end, holding Haneda Vickies to just 5 points in third quarter. Chanson V-M forced 23 Haneda Vickies turnovers and outrebounded them 53-32 including a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Chikae Uchino (176-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Chanson V-M's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Nanoko Motohashi (164-93) added 12 points and 4 steals in the effort for Haneda Vickies. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Chanson V-M. They maintain third place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader JX-Eneos S., which they share with Fujitsu RW and Denso Iris. Haneda Vickies lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Chanson V-M will have a break next round. Haneda Vickies will play again at home against Chanson V-M (#3) and hope to win that game.
