Regular Season Round 9: Huddinge - Hoganas 113-68

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Huddinge (3-3) outscored at home bottom-ranked Hoganas (0-7) 113-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Huddinge led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Hoganas' 42. They outrebounded Hoganas 40-21 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Huddinge looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Hoganas' players. The best player for the winners was Adam Fontaine (-95) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Nassim Mrabty chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Huddinge's coach Iouannis Chatziathanasiou felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian power forward Tadas Kvederavicius (200-90) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Tomas Taucius (200-78) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Huddinge and four Hoganas players scored in double figures. Huddinge moved-up to fifth place, which they share with KFUM Central and Norrort. Hoganas lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Huddinge will face league's leader Hogsbo in Goteborg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hoganas will play on the road against Wetterbygden (#4) in Huskvarna and hope to get finally their first victory.
