The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Menorca as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C-A. Menorca smashed 7th ranked AEC Collblanc in Mahon 82-60. The game was mostly controlled by Menorca. AEC Collblanc was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AEC Collblanc 36-25 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Menorca shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. The winners were led by point guard Jorge Jimenez (182-81) who scored that evening 27 points and 5 assists and center Angel Piedra (204-80) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Even 19 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by Antoni Figuerola (-94) did not help to save the game for AEC Collblanc. Cuba center Rangel Ramirez (206-75) added 10 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Menorca have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. AEC Collblanc at the other side dropped to the eighth place with three games lost.
