The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Montecatiniterme's (5-2) road loss to seventh ranked Omegna (5-2) 58-68 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Giovanni Gasparin (187-91, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 assists. Forward Marco Arrigoni (199-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Nelson Rizzitiello (198-84) responded with 19 points and forward Marco Petrucci (195-92) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Faenza. Omegna will face Domodossola (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Montecatiniterme will play against Varese Robur (#5) and hope to win that game.
