Regular Season Round 9: Nova Ves - Rieker KN 82-91

Bottom-ranked Nova Ves (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 91-82 loss to second ranked Rieker KN (4-3) in Nova Ves. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Nova Ves turnovers. Nova Ves were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Serbian guard Vuk Djordjevic (193-91) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Czech forward Filip Halada (198-92) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Rieker KN players scored in double figures. Swingman Vladimir Hovanak (193-82) answered with 29 points and 4 steals and American-Jamaica Phil Henry (203-91, college: E.New Mexico, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nova Ves. Despite that victory Rieker KN went down to sixth position due to points difference. Nova Ves at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Rieker KN will play against Karlovka (#9) in Bratislava in the next round. Nova Ves will play on the road against Nitra in Nitra and hope to get finally their first victory.
