Regular Season Round 7: Weert - Den Bosch 61-80

Bottom-ranked Weert (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to seventh ranked Dukes UDB (2-5) 80-61. The game without a history. Dukes UDB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Dukes UDB forced 23 Weert turnovers. Weert was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Antwan Scott (188-92, college: Colorado St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points. International forward Ralf Pagter Ralf (200-89) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Guard Jeroen van Vugt (192-91) came up with 17 points and power forward Dyon Halman (204-94, agency: Court Side) added 5 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Weert in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dukes UDB moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Leeuwarden. Weert at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Dukes UDB will play against league's second-placed Groningen on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Weert will play against Leeuwarden (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
