Regular Season Round 7: COB Calais - Arras 58-70

The game between second ranked COB Calais (5-2) and seventh ranked Arras (4-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. COB Calais was defeated by Arras in Calais 70-58. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of COB Calais. The game was mostly controlled by Arras. COB Calais managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anne-Sophie Pagnier (180-87) helped adding 15 points. At the losing side American forward Shawnta Dyer (185-91, college: Louisville, agency: Two Points) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Ornella Bankole (181-97) scored 13 points. COB Calais' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arras moved-up to sixth place. COB Calais at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Reims. Arras are looking forward to face CFBB (#13) in Paris in the next round and are hoping to win another game. COB Calais will play on the road against the league's leader Avenir (#1) in Chartres and is hoping to win this game.
