Regular Season Round 6: Arkadikos - Faros 69-62

We should mention about the upset which took place in Arkadia, where higher ranked Faros (4-2) lost to twelfth ranked Arkadikos (2-4) in a road game 62-69. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) notched 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Lithuania guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 22 points by Vaggelis Karaboulas (198-81) did not help to save the game for Faros. Point guard Nikos Liakopoulos (188-83) added 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Faros' coach Giannis Tzimas let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Arkadikos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Faros at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Arkadikos' next round opponent will be Amyntas Dafnis (#12) in Athens. Faros will play at home against GS Larissas (#15) and hope to win that game.
