Regular Season Round 8: Chalon - Limoges 90-66

Rather predictable result when third ranked Chalon/Saor (6-2) rolled over at home 6th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (4-4) 90-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Limoges CSP Elite was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Limoges CSP Elite's 36. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chalon/Saor made 7 blocks. Center Moustapha Fall (218-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's coach Jean-Denys Choulet felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international center Ousmane Camara (202-89) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Slovenia guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Chalon/Saor have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Nanterre. Loser Limoges CSP Elite dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Chalon/Saor will face Hyeres-Toulon (#6) on the road in the next round. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Strasbourg IG and hope to win that game.
