Premier League top team - Gorizont (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-7) in Minsk 117-30. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BrGU COR Victoria to just 6 points in third quarter and to 12 points in second half. Gorizont held BrGU COR Victoria to an opponent 18.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 67.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Gorizont forced 22 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 48-23 including a 34-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gorizont players were unselfish on offense dishing 42 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by BrGU COR Victoria's players. The winners were led by Maryia Adashchyk (180-98) who scored that evening 26 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and international center Hanna Brych (183-97) supported her with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. Even 9 points by Aleksandra Chyzhevskaya (-2) did not help to save the game for BrGU COR Victoria. Guard Khrystina Batsanova (165-96) added 10 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorizont have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Gorizont will play against Victoria (#5) in Grodno in the next round. BrGU COR Victoria will play at home against Victoria and hopes to get finally their first victory.
