Regular Season Round 13: JX-Eneos S. - Aishin AW 83-50

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Aishin Wings (0-11) in Kashiwa 83-50. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Aishin Wings' 30 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. JX-Eneos S. forced 20 Aishin Wings turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX-Eneos S. made 9 blocks. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) chipped in 20 points. Four JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and center Baiq Ghua (185-92) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record, which they share with Toyota A. Aishin Wings at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. They share the position with Niigata R. and Yamanashi QB. JX-Eneos S. is again looking forward to face Aishin Wings (#10) in Anjo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aishin Wings will have a break next round.
