Regular Season Round 10: IK Eos - KFUM Ostersund 60-59

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Damligan took place in Lund. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked KFUM Ostersund (5-6) to sixth ranked IK Eos (5-6) 60-59 in the game for the sixth place. KFUM Ostersund was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 15-11 charge of IK Eos, which allowed them to win the game. IK Eos outrebounded KFUM Ostersund 46-29 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Vee Young (186-89, college: Martin Methodist) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Antoinette Thompson (170-90, college: TCU) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Taylor Proctor (183-94, college: USF) added 13 points respectively for lost side. KFUM Ostersund's coach Alberto Garcia rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted IK Eos maintains sixth position with 5-6 record, which they share with defeated KFUM Ostersund. IK Eos is looking forward to face higher ranked Lulea Basket (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KFUM Ostersund will play against Norrkoping Dolphins and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
