Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Tinguiririca S.F. (4-10) and Puente Alto (4-8), which took place in San Fernando. 6th ranked Tinguiririca S.F. lost at home to ninth ranked Puente Alto 74-82 on Sunday. Puente Alto outrebounded Tinguiririca S.F. 46-32 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Venezuela guard Jovanni Diaz (195-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Venezuela forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) accounted for 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Puente Alto's coach Claudio Lavin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (196-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and guard Michael Ernst (187-82) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Tinguiririca S.F. in the defeat. Puente Alto moved-up to seventh place. Loser Tinguiririca S.F. dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Puente Alto will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tinguiririca S.F. will play again against Puente Alto (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
