Regular Season Round 10: Gniezno - Pelplin 66-85

Undefeated leader Pelplin delivered the eighth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Gniezno (4-6) 85-66. Pelplin forced 25 Gniezno turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Gniezno was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) fired 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Bartosz Sarzalo (197-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists. Four Pelplin players scored in double figures. Center Szymon Budnikowski (200-84) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and forward Dariusz Dobrzycki (193-84) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pelplin (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Gniezno lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. Pelplin will face AZS PP (#11) in Poznan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gniezno will play on the road against Domino Inowr. in Inowroclaw and hope to win that game.
