Regular Season Round 7: PuHu Juniorit - Espoo Basket 94-86

The game between Top Four teams took place in Vantaa. Leader host PuHu Juniorit (7-0) defeated 3rd placed Espoo Basket (5-3) 94-86. Espoo Basket was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 50-39 second half run of PuHu Juniorit. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. PuHu Juniorit outrebounded Espoo Basket 49-27 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstr.Atlantic) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Sakari Salminen (200-87) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five PuHu Juniorit players scored in double figures. American point guard Darian Cartharn (183-91, college: Mo.-St.Louis) came up with 32 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import swingman Justice Graham (198-79, college: Glenville St.) added 27 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Espoo Basket in the defeat. Espoo Basket's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. PuHu Juniorit maintains first place in Division with 7-0 record. Espoo Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. PuHu Juniorit will play against HNMKY U23 (#9) in Helsinki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Espoo Basket will have a break next round.
