There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Roma Vis Nova (2-4) won against at home higher ranked Catanzaro (3-3) 64-51 on Sunday. Roma Vis Nova forced 23 Catanzaro turnovers. It was a great evening for Matteo Pierangeli (201-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Point guard Tommaso Rossetti (185-88) helped adding 12 points and 5 rebounds. Roma Vis Nova's coach Marco Martiri allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Tomas Di Dio (189-88) responded with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Devil Medizza (198-90) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Catanzaro players scored in double figures. Roma Vis Nova moved-up to eleventh place in B. Loser Catanzaro dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Roma Vis Nova will face higher ranked Maddaloni (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
