Regular Season Round 8: Zarautz Ulacia - Estela 68-75

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Zarautz Ulacia (3-3) was defeated at home by top-ranked Estela (6-0) 75-68 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zarautz Ulacia won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Estela made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and Czech center Tomas Hampl (215-88) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) during the contest. Forward Xabier Osa (196-86) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Aitzol Eguskitza (193-90) scored 12 points. Four Zarautz Ulacia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Estela have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-A with 6-0 record. Loser Zarautz Ulacia dropped to the sixth place with three games lost.
