Regular Season Round 15: Panteras - Caballos 82-87

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Panteras (8-7) against fifth ranked Caballos (7-8) on Sunday night. Host Panteras were defeated by Caballos in a tough game in Panama City 82-87. Caballos players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard CJ Rodriguez (188, college: S.Nazarene) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 assists. The former international swingman Anell Alexis (200-90, college: Marist, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Four Caballos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Spanish-American forward Duane James (196-83, college: Binghamton) with 25 points and 4 assists and Daniel King (203-87, college: Texas Southern) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caballos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Aguilas. Panteras lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with seven games lost.
