Regular Season Round 7: Namika Lr - Karkkila 67-95

Bottom-ranked Namika Lr (0-8) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to tenth ranked Karkkila (3-4) 95-67 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Karkkila. Namika Lr managed to win fourth quarter 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Karkkila forced 19 Namika Lr turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Point guard Janne Kinnunen (185-87) fired 25 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Kimmo Tolvanen (193-77) chipped in 15 points. Four Karkkila players scored in double figures. Forward Karl Engelvuori (191-95) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Anttoni Tapio (193-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Karkkila moved-up to eighth place in Division. Loser Namika Lr still closes the standings with eight games lost. Karkkila will meet at home higher ranked TuNMKY (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Namika Lr will play against JyWe (#11) in Jyvaskyla and hopes to get finally their first victory.
