Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked San Severo (4-3) edged on the road 14th ranked Rimini (1-5) 77-76 on Sunday. San Severo forced 19 Rimini turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) helped adding 14 points. At the losing side Jacopo Aglio (196-95) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Davide Meluzzi (180-98) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Four Rimini players scored in double figures. Rimini's coach Andrea Maghelli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Severo moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Rimini dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. San Severo will face Isernia (#5) at home in the next round. Rimini will play against Taranto (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
