Regular Season Round 7: Betaland Cdo - Vanoli CR 79-76
Date: November 13, 2016
A very interesting game took place in Capo d'Orlando. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 16th ranked Vanoli Cremona (1-6) to ninth ranked Betaland Cdo (4-3) 79-76 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vanoli Cremona won fourth quarter 28-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (208-91, agency: Two Points) who led the winners and scored 19 points. American forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) came up with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Vanoli Cremona in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Betaland Cdo. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Umana VE and Banco di Srd. Vanoli Cremona lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Betaland Cdo's next round opponent will be higher ranked Juvecaserta (#3) in Caserta and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vanoli Cremona will play at home against the league's leader Armani Milano (#1) and hope to win that game.
