Regular Season Round 8: Wisla Can-Pack - Energa Torun 96-50

TBLK top team - Wisla Can-Pack (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Energa Torun (5-3) in Krakow 96-50. Wisla Can-Pack shot 61.0 percent from the field. Wisla Can-Pack outrebounded Energa Torun 38-26 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Wisla Can-Pack especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Energa Torun's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-89) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Four Wisla Can-Pack players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Weronika Gajda (174-89) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and American swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Management Group) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Wisla Can-Pack have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-1 record. Energa Torun at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Artego Bydg.. Wisla Can-Pack are looking forward to face JAS FBG (#8) in Sosnowiec in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Torun will play at home against AZS UMCS and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
