Gran Canaria has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Mann Filter (3-6) 70-67. Mann Filter cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Gran Canaria dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Mann Filter's 12. American forward Breanna Brock (187-90, college: Missouri, agency: Gamble Sports Management) nailed 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (183-97) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds.
