Everything went according to plan in Bahia Blanca where third ranked Weber Bahia (10-3) beat 9th ranked Boca Juniors (3-12) 75-68 on Monday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for American center Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. International guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Weber Bahia's coach Sebastian Ginobili used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Lucas Perez (185-87) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Weber Bahia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Sur, which they share with GECR Indalo. Boca Juniors lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Weber Bahia will face league's leader San Lorenzo in Almagra in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boca Juniors will play on the road against Hispano Am. (#10) in Rio Gallegos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
