There was a minor upset in Mar del Plata where 6th ranked Argentino (6-7) was defeated by eighth ranked Quilmes MP (5-9) 94-89 on Monday. Quilmes MP made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game, while Argentino only scored seven points from the stripe. Argentino was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Tracy Robinson (201-86, college: Loyola, IL) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. International power forward Ivan Basualdo (202-90) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Chaz Crawford (207-84, college: Drexel, agency: DTMones) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and Mateo Bolivar (187-92) scored 19 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Quilmes MP maintains eighth place in Sur with 5-9 record. Loser Argentino keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Quilmes MP will face league's second-placed GECR Indalo in Comodoro R. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
