Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Buenos Aires: Ferrocarril (#4) and Obras Basket (#5). Ferrocarril (10-6) won against visiting Obras Basket (7-8) 72-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Obras Basket. The winners were led by international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists and American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ferrocarril's coach Alvaro Castineira allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 9 points and 10 assists by point guard Pedro Barral (186-94) did not help to save the game for Obras Basket. American forward Dennis Horner (205-88, college: N.Carolina St.) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Five Ferrocarril and four Obras Basket players scored in double figures. Ferrocarril have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in Sur with 10-6 record. Obras Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Ferrocarril's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Buenos Aires .
