Regular Season Round 5: Teodo Tivat - Bashkimi 86-74

Bottom-ranked Kosovan Bashkimi (0-4) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Montenegrin Teodo Tivat (3-1) 86-74 on Tuesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Teodo Tivat. Bashkimi managed to win second period 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Teodo Tivat dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bashkimi's 34. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Milan Stanojevic (183-86, college: E.Washington, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Petar Kusovac (195-93, college: S.Centar, agency: AproK Sports Group) chipped in 19 points. American guard Eric Palm (188-87, college: McKendree) produced 19 points and 4 assists and Montenegrin Marko Popovic (200-85) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Teodo Tivat have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group A. Loser Bashkimi still closes the standings with four games lost. Teodo Tivat will meet at home league's leader Kumanovo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bashkimi will play against Kozuv (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
