Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked BC Nokia and 8th ranked Tampereen Pyrinto had identical 4-6 record. This time BC Nokia used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Tampere 102-89 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. Tampereen Pyrinto was better in third quarter 30-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Senegalese forward Papa Dia (208-87, college: SMU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) answered with 26 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import swingman Ricky Minard (196-82, college: Morehead St., agency: SDJ Sports) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tampereen Pyrinto. Four BC Nokia and five Tampereen Pyrinto players scored in double figures. Despite that victory BC Nokia went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Tampereen Pyrinto keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. BC Nokia will face KTP-Basket (#9) in Kotka in the next round. Tampereen Pyrinto will play at home against the league's leader Helsinki Seagulls and hope to win that game.
