Regular Season Round 11: Helsinki Seagulls - Salon Vilpas 71-63

An interesting game for Helsinki Seagulls (9-0) which hosted in Helsinki 3rd placed Salon Vilpas (7-4). Leader Helsinki Seagulls managed to get a 8-point victory 71-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Salon Vilpas won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Jason Conley (196-81, college: Missouri, agency: Blacktop Management) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) chipped in 19 points. Conley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Desmond Williams (199-91, college: S.Connecticut) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Helsinki Seagulls. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Salon Vilpas at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Helsinki Seagulls' next round opponent will be Tampereen Pyrinto (#8) on the road and are hoping to win another game.
