There was no surprise in Hangzhou where 9th ranked TianJin Steel (3-4) was crushed by third ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (6-1) 130-98 on Wednesday. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Steel's 46 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions forced 22 TianJin Steel turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 20 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) produced 26 points and 5 rebounds and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Liaoning H. and Shanghai S. TianJin Steel lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face Beijing Ducks (#5) on the road in the next round. TianJin Steel will play against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#11) in Hangzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
