Second Stage Round 13: Bayi - Shandong 95-65

The game between Top Four teams took place in Yinzhou. Leader host Bayi Kylin (1-0) smashed 4th placed Shandong (0-1) 95-65. It was a key game for the top position in Group B. Bayi Kylin dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Shandong's 40. Bayi Kylin forced 20 Shandong turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international center Liting Zhang (199-94) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 assists for the winners and international center Mengran Sun (197-92) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Bayi Kylin players scored in double figures. Bayi Kylin's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Shuo Wang (184-93) responded with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Hengyu Yang (194-95) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Bayi Kylin keeps a position of Group B leader, which they share with Sichuan and Xinjiang. Loser Shandong still closes the standings with one game lost. Bayi Kylin will face Liaoning Hengye (#4) in Anshan in the next round. Shandong will play on the road against Shenyang Golden Lions in Dandong and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
