We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked HBA-Marsky (4-6) outscored on the road 7th ranked Jarvenpaa (3-4) 79-56 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by HBA-Marsky. Jarvenpaa was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Jarvenpaa to just 6 points in first quarter. HBA-Marsky dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Jarvenpaa's 26. The best player for the winners was center Hannes Polla (210-98) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Edon Maxhuni (183-98) chipped in 14 points. Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) added 11 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. HBA-Marsky moved-up to sixth place in Division. HBA-Marsky's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Helsinki ToPo.
