Regular Season Round 7: Szczecin - Torun 78-83

TBL top team - Twarde Pierniki (7-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Wilki Morskie (4-4) in Szczecin 83-78. Twarde Pierniki made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a quality performance for American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St.) who led the winners and scored 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton Co. CC, agency: Promotex) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. American center Zach Robbins (208-91, college: Dixie St.) came up with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks and Guinean-American guard Russell Robinson (185-86) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively for Wilki Morskie in the defeat. Four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Twarde Pierniki have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Wilki Morskie at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Polpharma and Rosa Radom. Twarde Pierniki will play against Krosno (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Wilki Morskie will play against Stabill (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
