Regular Season Round 16: Cyberdyne IR - Aomori Watts 100-82

No shocking result in a game in Tsukuba where second ranked Cyberdyne IR (9-7) won against 5th ranked Aomori Watts (7-9) 100-82 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Cyberdyne IR. Aomori Watts was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cyberdyne IR made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Cyberdyne IR outrebounded Aomori Watts 42-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Rikiya Yamaguchi (180-96) scored 6 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Cyberdyne IR went down to third position due to points difference. Aomori Watts lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
