The game in Zagreb was also quite interesting. Second ranked Jolly (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Cibona (4-2). Jolly managed to secure a 9-point victory 87-78 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cibona. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 46-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Jolly dominated on the defensive end, holding Cibona to just 6 points in third quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Mike Scott (183-93, college: Idaho, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 assists. The former international forward Ivan Novacic (201-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) helped adding 22 points and 8 rebounds. Four Jolly players scored in double figures. At the losing side international power forward Ante Zizic (210-97, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 29 points and 9 rebounds and forward Petar Maric (196-87) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Cibona's coach Damir Mulaomerovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Jolly. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Cibona keeps the fifth place with two games lost. Jolly will face Cedevita (#3) in Zagreb in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cibona will play on the road against KK Zabok in Zabok and hope to win that game.
