Regular Season Round 8: Liaoning FL - Shanghai S. 105-117
Date: November 18, 2016
Another interesting game for Shanghai Sharks (7-1) which played in Yingkou against one of their biggest challengers Liaoning Hunters (6-2). Fourth ranked Shanghai Sharks had an easy win 117-105. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Liaoning Hunters. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who helped to win the game recording 47 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and the former international guard XiaoYu Liu (191-89) who added 22 points during the contest. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) responded with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shanghai Sharks keep a position of league leader, which they share with Xinjiang FT and Guangsha L. Liaoning Hunters at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Shanghai Sharks will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) in Taiyuan in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Liaoning Hunters will play at home against Fujian (#16) and hope to get back on the winning track.
