Regular Season Round 8: TuNMKY - HyPo 88-85

A very close game took place in Turun between TuNMKY and HyPo. Sixth ranked TuNMKY (5-2) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked HyPo (4-5). TuNMKY managed to escape with a 3-point win 88-85 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 29-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) who added 16 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Four TuNMKY players scored in double figures. American guard De'Andre Upchurch (188-91, college: Tarleton St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 52 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and forward Ilkka Blomqvist (196-84) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. TuNMKY moved-up to fifth place in Division. Loser HyPo keeps the seventh position with five games lost. TuNMKY will meet JyWe (#8) in the next round. HyPo will play against the league's second-placed Ura Basket and hope to secure a win.
