Regular Season Round 10: BC Lulea - Umea 74-56

Basketligan top team - BC Lulea (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Umea (1-7) 74-56. The game was mostly controlled by BC Lulea. Umea was better in fourth quarter 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Lulea forced 22 Umea turnovers. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) notched 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) supported him with 12 points. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by American forward George Valentine (203-88, college: Winthrop, agency: Mansfield and Associates) did not help to save the game for Umea. Norwegian-American guard Terrence Oglesby (188-88, college: Clemson) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. BC Lulea have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Umea lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with seven games lost. BC Lulea will play against Sodertalje Kings (#4) on the road in the next round. Umea will play against Boras Basket (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
