Regular Season Round 7: Tartu Ulikool - Rapla 96-66

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tartu. Leader host TU/Rock (6-0) smashed their biggest opponent Rapla (5-2) 96-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rapla. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. Rapla managed to win third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rapla's 38. They outrebounded Rapla 41-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Mandell Thomas (188-93, college: Fordham) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five TU/Rock players scored in double figures. TU/Rock's coach Gert Kullamae felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Slovenian point guard Domen Bratoz (189-93, agency: Two Points) scored 15 points and 7 assists. TU/Rock have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Rapla at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with TTU. TU/Rock are looking forward to face BC Rakvere (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Rapla will play against Parnu (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
