Regular Season Round 7: Udine Delser - Alpo VF 61-66

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Alpo VF (3-4) won against on the road 7th ranked Udine Delser (3-4) 66-61 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Udine Delser won fourth quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Udine Delser was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Bosnian Marina Dzinic (190-92) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guard Roberta Di Gregorio (172-90) chipped in 23 points. Alpo VF's coach Nicola Soave used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Nigerian-British swingman Ejay Ofomata (180-86, college: Central State) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Debora Vicenzotti (182-89) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Alpo VF moved-up to sixth place in A2. Alpo VF will face Viterbo (#9) at home in the next round. Udine Delser will play against Civitanova in Civitanova Marche and hope to win that game.
