Regular Season Round 15: Hokkaido L. - Toyota Alvark 68-89

Not a big story in a game in Saporro where 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (4-11) was rolled over by second ranked Toyota Alvark (12-3) 89-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota Alvark. Hokkaido L. was better in third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Daiki Tanaka (191-91) helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. Toyota Alvark keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Toshiba BT. Hokkaido L. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Toyota Alvark will have a break next round. Hokkaido L. will play again at home against the league's second-placed Toyota Alvark (#2) and hope to win that game.
