Bottom-ranked Aishin Wings is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 13th consecutive match to fifth ranked Denso Iris (11-2) 68-67 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 20-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Denso Iris made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for international center Sakura Akaho (182-96) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) came up with 23 points and 4 blocks and point guard CaiDeng Sakai (164-95) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Aishin Wings in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Denso Iris. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M and Fujitsu RW. Aishin Wings lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. They share the position with Niigata R. and Yamanashi QB. Denso Iris will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aishin Wings will play again against Denso Iris (#5) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
