Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Casvi (6-3) beat on the road 11th ranked Lanzarote (3-6) 87-80 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-80. Casvi forced 21 Lanzarote turnovers. Lanzarote was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Alfonso Ortiz (190-99) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Cameron Vines (193-93, college: St.Joseph, IN) who recorded 17 points and 4 steals and center PA Diene (208-98) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Casvi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Lanzarote keeps the eleventh position with six games lost.
