Regular Season Round 7: NUIG Mystics - Glanmire 48-81

Super League top team - Glanmire (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked NUIG Mystics (2-4) in Galway 81-48. Glanmire had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Grainne Dwyer (180-84) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Claire Rockall (178-90, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Glanmire players scored in double figures. Glanmire's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Ebony Wells (188, college: La Salle) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Hannah Coen (175-87, college: Adelphi) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Glanmire have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Newly promoted NUIG Mystics keep the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with P.Panthers. Glanmire will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. NUIG Mystics will play against 11890 Killester (#5) in Dublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
