Regular Season Round 16: Tokyo Excel. - Shinshu BW 68-75

Very significant was Shinshu BW's (#5) 75-68 road victory against 6th ranked Tokyo Excel.. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tokyo Excel.. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Tokyo Excel. won second period 19-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shinshu BW made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Tokyo Excel. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Yosuke Yosuke (184-85) who scored that evening 16 points and 4 assists and Yasuhiko Yasuhiko (181-90) supported him with 18 points. Shinshu BW's coach Ryutaro Onodera allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds by American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) did not help to save the game for Tokyo Excel.. His fellow American import center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) added 20 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Shinshu BW (6-10) moved-up to fourth place. Tokyo Excel. at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
