2Liga top team - Pelplin (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked AZS PP (2-9) in Pelpin 102-67. Pelplin dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to AZS PP's 40. Pelplin forced 23 AZS PP turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by AZS PP's players. Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Point guard Pawel Guz (178-98) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Guard Jan Sobiech (192-96) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Patryk Spojda (186-95) added 20 points in the effort for AZS PP. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Pelplin. They maintain first place with 9-0 record, which they share with KK Warszawa. AZS PP lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Pelplin will face AZS UMK Torun (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. AZS PP will play against Domino Inowr. (#6) and hope to win that game.
