No shocking result in a game when Tokyo HT (3-1) smashed at home Tokyo Big Blue (0-5) 97-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-77. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 32. They outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 46-27 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Brian Harper (204-85, college: Paine, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Tokyo HT's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Ryota Ito (178-92) added 23 points and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Tokyo HT will face Kanazawa Sam. (#4) in Ishikawa in the next round.
