Rather expected game in Cordiba where 4th placed San Juan (3-4) was defeated by first ranked Yosiquese (6-1) 75-66 on Saturday. San Juan was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded San Juan 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Arturo Lopez (188-92) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Brazilian Rodrigo Goncalves (200-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Samuel Ceada (198-91) who recorded 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Antonio Rodriguez (185-78) added 14 points and 7 assists respectively. Yosiquese have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Yosiquese maintains first place in Group D-B with 6-1 record, which they share with ULB OH!TELS. San Juan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. Yosiquese will face Real Betis SVL 2 (#8) in Sevilla in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San Juan will play on the road against Utrera (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
