A very interesting game took place in Siena. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Valsesia (6-2) to eleventh ranked Siena Virtus (4-4) 75-73 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by guard Ferdinando Nasello (194-95) who scored that evening 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Simone Lenardon (189-85) supported him with 17 points and 5 assists. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by forward Giovanni Lenti (196-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) did not help to save the game for Valsesia. Point guard Nicola Savoldelli (185-97, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Five Siena Virtus and four Valsesia players scored in double figures. Siena Virtus moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 9 other teams. Valsesia at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Siena Virtus' next round opponent will be USE Basket (#7) in Empoli. Valsesia will play on the road against Varese Robur (#14) and hope to win that game.
