Regular Season Round 7: AEK Athens - Promitheas 76-60

A1 top team - AEK Athens (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Promitheas (3-4) 76-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Promitheas. Promitheas was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 38-20 second half run of AEK Athens. It was a quality performance for the former international swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Dimitrios Mavroeidis (208-85, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four AEK Athens players scored in double figures. American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) came up with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese forward Mouhammad Faye (208-85, college: SMU) added 12 points respectively for Promitheas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AEK Athens have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record, which they share with Olympiacos. Newly promoted Promitheas dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
